That work taught him something that shaped everything about Room Roast: people open up when they feel seen, safe, and a little bit lighter.
Room Roast grew out of a genuine love of interiors, humor, and community. Jacques wanted a place where redesigning your room felt less like a lecture and more like a laugh with a friend who happens to have great taste. The roast is just the icebreaker — the care underneath it is the whole point.
